One other thing of note is that radeonpro consistently attempts to modify a registry Key at "HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\TurnOffSPIAnimations" and fails citing NAME_NOT_FOUND.

Otherwise everything is amazing. It's nice to hear that 2.0 is being worked on.

That must be something being done by .NET Framework itself, there's no explicit code trying to access or change that mentioned registry entry.

Out of curiosity I've checked my system's registry and there's no such key here as well.

RE: Some bugs and glitches
I just wanted to add another confirmation of this flickering bug.

I started using RadeonPro very recently (13 Apr build), and I'm also experiencing the flickering effect on the "Visual" tab (and on the "SweetFX" tab if the table control is being displayed). Additionally, as others have described, the CPU usage jumps up to around 20-25% (on a quad core).

I have tried disabling all non-essential processes in an effort to locate a conflicting application but nothing appears to make any difference. I did notice DinoThrasher mention that he tried disabling F.lux, which I also use, but like DinoThrasher I saw no difference with it turned off.

My specs are:

OS: Windows 7 64-bit (clean install 4 days ago)
RAM: 8GB DDR3
CPU: Intel i5-3570K (OC'd)
GPU: HIS Radeon HD 7950 (OC'd)
Mobo: Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H

Currently I'm running Catalyst 13.5 Beta 2.

Thanks for the awesome software! I hope this report can assist in some way!

RE: Some bugs and glitches
I can also confirm the flickering bug on the 'Visual' tab. I just reformatted my hard drive, and installed Windows 8 x64. I remember reading a post last month mentioning this as well as a fix.

The bug doesn't occur for me unless I make changes to the settings. On a clean install of RadeonPro the flickering does not occur. I change the following settings:

Disable API monitoring for programs not listed in my profiles.

And assigned hotkeys to the FPS counter settings.

EDIT: I uninstalled, and rolled back to the 11/Apr/2013 build, and the bug went away. Will be using this version for now, until the flicker bug is fixed.

HERE IS THE FIX: (found randomly while tinkering with the files after a fresh install)

You need to have your <var id="UseCompatibleListViewRendering" value="X" /> with X=1 for no flickering
In Config.xml in %appdata%roaming/RadeonPro

Btw John, are you the only one working on Radeon Pro?
